Beach Huts for Exmouth Beach front - Case Study

This was a rather exciting build for us!

A lovely business owner along Exmouth Seafront came to us requesting we built four mini beach huts which she could use outside her shop to sell her products in.

She was initially selling beach products outside the shop arranged in buckets and boxes, and wanted something smarter, more practical and more characterful for selling items outside.

After a few meetings to discuss the requirements, we understood the main needs to be:

- The doors must be able to open outwards
- Each beach hut must include shelves and hooks for product display
- The huts must be very secure as they will stay outside 24/7

As always, we visited the site to understand the dimensions and space we had to construct the huts. We drew up several designs to look over with the customer, and ensure they were happy with the look and feel. We agreed the beach huts would be 2 x 4 metres built out of Scandinavian pine.

As these would be located on the Exmouth seafront, we recommend they were bolted into the ground and the customer looked into the practicalities of this for themselves.

The build took one day, it was a nice and simple construction method which meant we could build this right outside the shop. We chose to use a felt roof as this would withstand the coastal weather, and we installed sturdy locks so that the customer was happy leaving these outside overnight.

Finally, once our work was done and the huts were moved into a position the customer was happy with, she chose her colours and painted the huts herself, to give them that holiday beach look.

The Beach Shop Exmouth

Had 4 mini sheds made by Joe and the team to help me create a beach hut ‘village’ look for my shop and they have exceeded all my expectations, they are so well made, strong and sturdy and look incredible! The guys that came and fitted them were lovely and set them up and moved them about until I was happy!! Now I have painted them my beach huts look awesome in front of the shop. Can't thank you all enough.
